ok you guys are gonna kill me cause i have no pics; but i will go back and get one tomorrow if necessary. driving through a wealthy part of town i noticed a 4wd car for sale on the curb. likely grey market european. it was red dune buggy looking thing. hard top. with solid half high doors. 2 seater only, and very narrow. with a definite open wheel look. street legal. i thought the emblam looked like an alfa but i could be wrong. it was green i think

the funniest I ever came across was when I was working in a wrecking yard (car dissmantlers) a moari pulled up in a noisy Hillman hunter, and said " you got a part for my car bro". lol lol. And by the way im no way in not the slightest bit racist, some of my best friends in life have been moaris, just get a kick outa what some of them say. for some of us kiwis that struggled in teenage years, if a moari elder liked you and you treated him with respect, youd never go hungry or go without shelter

should have said late model, but appreciate the input. did an interwebs search. its some 800cc street legal atv jeep like thing. a toy for rich people. could never pin down the manufacturer whuch makes it questionable.

X90s are at least street legal and there is aftermarket support. My old Samurai was the bomb!

I'm starting to see a few of these Chinese-made buggies around, which seems close to what you describe.

I've never seen one registered for street use, but that doesn't mean someone hasn't managed it.

Marstaller Motors in Waco sells what you are describing. Called the "Reeper". It comes in green. It has an MC engine. $15 G's + TT&L and it's yours. Check their website to see if that is your mystery car.

In parts of Az. you can drive a quad w/o licensing it on paved roads like here in Kingman. ;)

My ex-wife fell asleep and ran her X90 off the highway and down into a deep gully three months after she bought it. The wasn't a single body panel that wasn't damaged. She escaped with just a mild concussion.

You're thinking about the Isuzu Vehicross, that was late 90's.

I loved the X90 and other Sidekick variants. Had a Geo tracker.

Op, longshot, but you're not talking about a Nissan Juke. It's actually a 4-door, 4-seater, but the rear doors are not obvious.
