I have it on my "tentative" riding calendar.  Had a good time last year.  It's a two day trip in both directions for me.  Will see how the rest of this riding season plays out.

They've been talking about closing this park for the 40+ years I've been going to it. Hope this rumor just keeps floating around.

As others have said, this is a nice campground, cheap motels in town, good food at the local cafe and I can't think of one thing to make the rally better.

If you can't make it, send your excuse to Slicer.

Want to clarify. You have it posted for the first weekend of October.  NOT the second weekend like it had been right?

Just want to make sure of dates so my vacation days at work are right. As of now they are for second weekend, but if you are moving camp-out to first weekend, I need to change it.

I haven't been to an OK campout since the OK rallies in the mid '80s. that might be a good thing to do, I could hit the Italy, TX on the first Oct weekend. I miss riding eastern OK and the Winding Stair trail...... I have to find a disguise so Slicer don't notice me

John,
Remember I live in Lindale, not LINDEN, TX. John was only off by 80 miles.
.You can camp here or at the Legion.

Davedel alerted me to something , there is a Big Foot festival in Honobia the same weekend , so some of the RV sites are reserved for the attendees of that . I you need a site contact Mary at
918 567 2052 between 8AM and about 12:30 PM . There will be plenty of tents spaces , and we can do some sharing , but if you need a dedicated RV spot you need to reserve it , like yesterday

There will be low humidity with temp ranging from 40 to 60's. I'll check the Farmers Almanac and get you the exact temp for the rally.

Well now I ain't scared of a long commute, I am a little apprehensive about Slicer though. And the last time I rode down, Tex had moved from Linden to Lyndale in the night but I found him anyway :food:

Will you have therapy dogs, coloring books and hot chocolate for those that might be unhappy with your wonderful rally? Or should I bring Slicer?

looks like they moved the Bigfoot fest a week later than usual.  My BIL's family is from there and he says Bigfoots exist.

I still have it on my "tentative" riding calendar.  This riding season has not worked out too well, so everything is still "tentative".

Getting close folks , come see this part of Oklahoma , because if your idea of my state comes from watching Western movies you will be amazed at just how nice it is .

We have the official seal of approval from the Texas Turnip , don't attend and he will come to your house with Slicer

I wondered what might motivate Tex to drop in. Kind hoped it would  be with Beaver instead of Slicer however.
Don't know yet. It is the same weekend as the EAA fly in here and my glider club is giving rides and I wanted to assist this year.
