Guzzi could make something innovative like this as their first fully liquid cooled bike.

All it needs is a decent sized fuel tank.............no t the thimble full they've currently provided, and shaft drive, of course.

Less hp and torque, more weight and complication than an 8v griso, and chain final drive , no thank you. But the new bmw 1000 cc liquid cooled motor with 120 hp and wet clutch moved to the front for easy access seems like a winner.

I can just see myself taking a spirited ride on my brand new Midual when I glance at the instruments.....wai t, that's just a tach in front of me...OK, now I see the speedo and all those other neat instruments...down between my legs...almost at my naval.  Humm, I can either look at the road or ponder my speed/oil pressure/amps/gas gauge/???.  Nope, does not make any sense at all.  This certainly looks like a well constructed adventure in burning money.

I guess what I was getting at was, here is a small company in France creatively using an unusual engine layout.  Guzzi could do something similar, after all, they have built just about every engine configuation since 1921. 

A flat twin like this, an L-twin, a laydown triple - there are lots of ways they could retain their reputation for building funky, durable bikes while building something that would satisfy emissions requirements.

Personally, I would like to see a 650cc laydown, 4 valve OHC single, about 50HP, standard riding position and with a little more ground clearance than the NF, and perhaps a bash plate.  Naturally, it would have to have a whacking great external flywheel, with the emphasis on torque, not revs.  Yes, a Nuovo Nuovo Falcone.  Two or three of us might buy one.......

Looks like the concept is still alive and kicking; not sure about the motorcycles, though.

Skimmed the website, and although I didn't see anything about money, the references to "Sir So-and-So" and "Pebble Beach" and "Bespoke" are a dead giveaway that you'd better cash in some of those savings bonds that Grandma left you .....

106 HP and 527 lbs with low RPMs would not be slow or boring at all. I like the look, don't like the panel of gauges. Seat too tall for me. Neat concept, not that it would get my wallet open. I like different, tho.

If you Think Moto Guzzi's Dealer/service network is weak try this. People who will buy this machine will not ride it, read as J.Leno type, the instrument panel is your pathway to an accident. While checking on the bike's systems you could setting your self up to rear end or run off the road.

People that buy this have more money than they need. Try putting a tank bag on this tank/instrument panel, not to mention the "fine Corithan Leather"

Valve adjustments/ spark plug changes, fogetaboutit!

Geez , most MC riders would have thought Chuckie is , er , eccentric , for putting an airplane motor in a motorbike .

For the $200,000 that this bike is reputed to sell for, it SHOULD fly like an airplane across the English Channel, and then roll like a motorcycle when I want it to.

I like it.  At $12-13k, it might sell about as many bikes as Guzzi sells Grisos.  Buy it?  Hell, I can't make myself bust into my IRA for a deeply discounted 2014 V7!  Too much in the garage already.  Too lazy to sell the Griso.  Too attached to sell the R100GS.  And the 1200 Sport is simply a keeper.
