Forks!

Do you have any information on that fork brace/fender mount? Looking for something like that to replace my factory one.

Turin · « **Reply #92 on:** June 14, 2017, 10:32:03 PM »

They may have had in made. This bike was built pre-internet and a lot of the stuff was done in house (very evident by looking at the lower triple clamp

).

A few updates. Caliper brackets made, brake lines attached, Wiring done, and seat subframe is built. still some work to be done on the seat itself. Windscreen also needs some shaping.

Fairing fits with the 2-1 pipe. Hopeful that the heat wrap will keep the paint from bubbling.

Ride fast so the airflow will cool things down!

Keeping the SE colors in the design scheme, well played

that bike looks stunning! I love the tail. What are you going to do for side covers?

Rick.

Turin · « **Reply #105 on:** October 20, 2018, 09:07:56 PM »

No Sidecovers, no idea of anything that will look right.

Here is a front Fairing shot.

Beautiful paint work, it's going to be a stunner!

Huzo · « **Reply #107 on:** October 20, 2018, 11:27:53 PM »

Beautifully conceived and executed..
Well balanced look, more than what can be said for some..
Will you have any small green accents to the colour scheme..?

Turin · « **Reply #108 on:** October 21, 2018, 01:13:07 AM »

Only green will be the exposed coils. This was race bike back in the day and want to retain some of that flavor.

BTW the center stand is going away.

I got some pictures of the SE being ridden in anger back in the day. ( Rider - Dave Hull, owner Dave's Cycle Service)

Huzo · « **Reply #110 on:** October 31, 2018, 06:31:07 AM »

In that bottom shot, the track looks as greasy as a butchers dick.
Is it an abberation in the camera or a light trick ?

Turin · « **Reply #111 on:** October 31, 2018, 09:45:53 AM »

The pic is 20+ years old. Digital pic of an analog
Photo. Probably reflection or stain.
I do not have the originals.

Groover · « **Reply #112 on:** October 31, 2018, 01:52:15 PM »

From those photos, it's probably safe to say that Le Mans 1000 doesn't has any handling issues

Thanks for posting them.

I have to chime in with the other guys, the paint looks fantastic! And so does the rest of the bike. Love the old racing photos. Makes me want to build my spare frame into a race bike! :)

Have you been riding it yet? No ride report as far as I can see, which brand are your mirrors and how do you like them? I need something similar for mine. I don't like not having mirrors but also don't like the cheap bugeye mirrors I bought for the MOT.

I'm liking the swanky suede seat. That should grip in seat nicely!

Turin · « **Reply #115 on:** November 02, 2018, 12:27:25 AM »

Mirrors are CRG. I haven't ridden it yet, because it's not quite done. Bracket to fabricate, Windscreen to trim, Bolts to check /Torque etc. I was going to wait until the lower fairing is attached and post final pics, but someone already put pictures on facebook so screw it. As she is now.

canuck750 · « **Reply #116 on:** November 02, 2018, 07:36:18 PM »

Great color scheme. It looks damn fast standing still!

All Done . Short test ride tonight, was taken by surprise by the torque of this thing. Front wheel came up and gave me a little scare.
Will give her a real test out this weekend.
