Good on Leicester!  A Chelsea supporter, though I can't identify with 75% of our starting 11 these days....you sell your soul to Maurinho, win one, then bend over and take it in the shorts.  Love the story and the season for the Foxes--just young, talented guys playing with abandon and unafraid to fail.  Hoping they can keep the team together and with same esprit for next year, especially in UEFA matches.

I feel your pain, being a Liverpool fan I don't even recognize the team anymore. It was good to root and follow a team this season that had not won a Championship in their 132 year history. I truly like the relegation part of the Premiership also, always new blood coming into the fray and something to play for, for  the bottom 10. I just can't figure out  how much these guys are getting paid though. The way they (commentators) describe it, I think the clubs pay each other for the transfers and never mention the actual salary of the player. And then there are the players that are on loan, another kettle of fish (and chips) .

Don't worry about the salary, they're not exactly on poverty levels.

A quick google shows the average Premier league player to be earning £44,000 (approx. $65,000) per week with the highest at £300,000 (approx. $440,000) per week (this being Wayne Rooney of Man Utd.).

As for transfers, the teams pay obscene amounts of money to buy players and the player usually receives 10% of the figure, a player 'on loan' means that the team borrowing him don't have to pay for him but need to cover the wages, an arrangement that may help both clubs.

An interesting fact I heard this morning on TV is that Man Utd. have spent more on players in the last 2 years than Leicester has spent in it's entire 132 year history...

Testarossa--love your optimism and would love to see it happen for the Cubbybears.  However, as a Cleveland sports fan, there are a few things I gotta tell ya about that "hope springs eternal"  poopoo...http://wildguzzi.com/forum/Smileys/default/shocked.gif
