Author Topic: Congrat to Beaver for getting 48 states on her Guzzi. (Read 6850 times)

Before we left for the National Beaver said she only had to get SD, ND, MT, WA and Wyoming to get the lower 48. I said we can get them on the way to the National. She said you must have a different map than me as some looked out of the way. We took mainly secondary roads to ND, then 12 all the way across MT, Idaho and Washington to Walla Walla then dropped down to John Day. Got Wyoming on the way home.

I think this is a great accomplishment that a lot of people will never do.

She is still working on getting the 254 counties in Texas with only 50 or so remaining. In fact, you can put on less miles getting the lower 48 than getting the 254 counties.

Hwy 12 is fantastic Tex...what a great ride from Lolo along the Clearwater all the way to Walla Walla my favorite river road so far!

If you're missing Harris county, just come down to Houston for a visit!!

Yeah; those Texas counties... The ones on the left side of the state that follow section lines are easy enough to tag (even if the road through one will look pretty much the same as the road through the next). But, all the little jumbled things on the right side--that's much tougher. Good luck to her!

On a similar note, I am trying to hit all of the Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs. But the way traffic works here, I may put a gun to my temple first!

I have about 50 counties in Texas , including Deaf Smith CO , named after Erastus "Deaf" Smith . Not much there , but the name called out to me

I was well on my way to picking up all the states accessible by land, but life stepped squarely in the way

I have been to the 49 by various vehicles but I still need 13, IIRC, on the HD&M EV. I hope it will last long enough to accomplish this, and I hope I'll last that long too

You are my inspiration. I think I'll head out to Nebraska before winter hits up there
