A praise for Beetle maps. Want your bike to run it's best?

Just a quick heads up about Beetle's maps!
I had the chance to load one into a Griso running a Agostini exhaust today and then took the bike for a spin. It's absolutely the best running 1200 Guzzi I've had the chance to throw a leg over, and there has been a plenty I've rode, I'm always the test pilot for any Guzzi in the shop after repairs or normal service.
I can't express enough how well this thing ran, smooth as glass, tons of torque anywhere in the entire range of RPM's, any hint of snatchiness in the throttle was completely erased.

I've been around other products literally costing ten times the price of his $100.00 map that you still had to fiddle with yourself to get it at its best and it doesn't even come close to what I tested today. Super simple install and THE BEST $100.00 (or WAY MORE) that you can spend on your bike. I see many more happy customers in the future.

My bike is an'07 Norge and as far as I can feel it runs very well indeed, however I guess I don't know how well it COULD run if correctly mapped (Beetled). Initially when I got the bike new it would ping at RPM's below 3,500 at moderate throttle settings in ambient temps above 30 deg C. Now I'm the first to admit you should not lug these engines but in hot weather and high humidity it was a bit of a PITA. You'd really notice it if you were at around 120km/h and cracked it open in top to pass a line of cars or such on a hot day, you could hear the ping at speed, so I made sure to spin the engine above 5,000 and used less aggressive throttle settings. It seemed worse on the left cylinder than the right. So I took it to a well respected bloke in Melbourne who stopped the pinging but the fuel consumption went up a bit (as he said it would), when new I used to see 4.9-5.2 L/100km at 110 km/h, after the Melbourne treatment it's more like5.5-6.2 L/100km. Now let it be said that I knew how to ride around the problem but I'd like to have it dealt with properly. I have slightly less than zero computer ability, so what options exist if any for me to have my Guzzi Beetled ?

If you are happy with the way it runs, but are concerned about fuel economy, might I sugggest a CO trim adjustment? Going to -2 or -3 might be all you need.

Yup ......... agreed.
My 8V Norge runs flawlessly now. Refreshing compared to other so called wonder maps.

Griso maps have been developed to the 'N'th degree, the communality of engines, especially with the roller motors means that most of the non exhaust/intake are identical and so it's those exhaust and intake issues on other bikes which mean that you need a bright spark who can extrapolate based on previous knowledge.

Now I've bought this MUIG3 V7 as long as he doesn't get bored I'm sure that both the V7's and even the wretched V9's *ordinary* mapping issues can be addressed.

I've been spruiking Mark's talents for years, not because I'm a sycophant, I'm too old and grumpy for that, but because he is willing to put in the hard yards and his endeavors deliver products that work!

Hopefully we'll soon have a running single spark 1400 motor to slot into a Griso and mapped to suit. That's going to be fun, or a disaster, but you only know if you try it. I expect no more power but a happy boost in torque!  Since the factory seems to no longer want to build the bikes we want? Well, I suppose it's up to us to do it eh?

Beetle maps for older 2 TB V7s?

Larry and Mike at MPH told me they updated the map on my V7R last tune up.  Might explain much easier starts, no more long warm up, and no issues with hot starting?  Or did it just need the valves tweaked and all new fluids, etc?

Load the appropriate Beatle map and your 8v will run better than great!  What's better?

You can turn through intersections in 3rd gear.  It's almost like having an automatic transmission.
You can run the twisties in 3rd or 4th with no worry of hiccups even under 1800 rpm.   No more lurching and snatching.
You can add 10 miles on average off a tank of gas (very important for the Griso).

Honestly I've never had a motorcycle in this, almost perfect state of tune.  Thank you so much Mark.
