New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Hi, Have a 1998 EV using a National Cycle Plexistar 2 windshield. I have adjusted just about every way imaginable and still handles terrible. On the highway wind buffering is awful and when trying to pass it's almost impossible/dangerous. Any thoughts to a different style or brand screen? Thanks
I've got one too. It replaced a damaged superb Plexi 3 which is no longer available to fit the EV. I was so frustrated with the Plexi 2, I almost got another Plexi 3 and was going to alter it with a saw and a hairdryer.I finally got the Plexi 2 dialed in.1. Raise it as high as you can. The headlight opening should be above the bottom of the instruments.2. Sweep it back was far as you can where the top is as close to your helmet as possible. This should make it tolerable, even acceptable. try it. tell me how it works.
Hi, Thanks for the photos and have been adjusting in this morning. If possible could you please send a side view of the bike w/ windshield? I want to see how much angle you have.thanks!
I have mine angled the same but set lower. The difference may be the height of the rider.
You should see what Ratguzzi does to his windscreens to reduce buffeting.
I just snapped this in my garage. the bottom of the windshield is above the bottom of the instruments and the top is angled over the middle of the gas tank. It's an improvement. I won't say perfect.
so.....did you come up with any new info or are we in the same boat here?
I think mine is a high as I can get it too, then angled back.let me know how the laminar lip works.
H&H best screen/fairing I've ever used.....
Played with the Laminar Lip today...For the most part it works but mainly I needed 1-2 inches of windshield height to deflect wind over my helmet. I can ride 70mph with my helmet shield in the fully up position.
I have a goldwing vent added to the windshield. Might help, but with the cal. package it's a much different shape than yours.
