So sorry to hear this, Thoughts and prayers with them.
Reality check here. Even if the driver had insurance, I'm sure it's $$$ limits will quickly be exceeded and the major costs will fall back on the victim. Life is full of ups and downs and it hurts to see people we care about suffer. Show of support for them and their family are a good indication of how well Wayne and Vicky are thought of, and of this community as well. Best wishes for them to heal quickly and many thanks for the many friends they have here.
Yes, but.In Georgia, as my brother learned as a result of his unfortunate encounter with a woman driving a minivan , your uninsured-motorist coverage on your motorcycle policy is, or at least can be, combined with your auto policy's coverage. One of the few "good news" items that came out of that accident last December. Hoping that coverage situation is applicable to Wayne and Vicky. I will be down there next week and, with my brother who is now an unintended expert in such things, will if needed assist in seeing what can be done.Bill
That is "stacking" but I don't know if you can do it between carriers. I have my cars with one company and motorcycles with another for example. I do know that I can stack my two motorcycles policies with Progressive however and since Wayne has two bikes he should be able to at least stack those. It remains that un/under coverage is the most important
I stopped by this am about 10:45. Wayne had been in surgery since 7am and it was expected to go until noon. I went to see Vicky and met her sister. she is still in a coma but has shown some signs of coming out of it. but she is very heavily sedated so I expect they will keep her in that state for a while. I will try to stop by again tonight if not tomorrow.
