New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Since you're not worried about keeping it stock I would recommend the K&S or similar. Much improved over original.
Did you look here? http://www.kandstech.com/index.php?page=switchescontrolsOther opinions here, Topic H for handlebar switches. http://www.thisoldtractor.com/moto_guzzi_tonti.html#H
Dave, I've never had a problem with the left hand switch, still have the originals on all .Now the start /kill switch is a different story. I've had to replace two of them. Opted for the one offered by MG.
I've been using one of these on the mighty convert. Rewiring required. http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-8-Motorcycle-Handlebar-Control-Turn-Signal-Light-Hi-Lo-Beam-Left-Horn-Switch/112169478602?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3D9d512556d64449f886137a429d27e4d3%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D221451115608
I have this. Bought for a Tonti project that was sold before I got to use it. $45 shipped in the lower 48. Also have a NIB diode board, regulator and bow type timing chain tensioner. Will sell all together for $155.00 shipped
I'll take that switch. Look for a PM.
My favorite so far. Have used K&S, generic CEV, Yamaha pot metal ones. All work fine, but the LM 5/ CAL3 SP3 types are my favorites. Here is a used one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Moto-Guzzi-LM5-handlebar-switch-for-lights-indicators-etc-from-LH-bar-/182467325820?hash=item2a7be66f7c:g:L8sAAOSwo4pYghU4&vxp A pic of a new one http://www.stein-dinse.biz/images/product_images/popup_images/27738015-z.jpg Note: US versions as some currently on EBAY, don't have the "Lights off " option.
Could put in a K&S but don't want to splice into the good wiring harness.
I'd like to find a Euro spec switch for the Mille -- so I could turn off the headlamp for starting and idling. Could put in a K&S but don't want to splice into the good wiring harness.
Or he can supply the necessary Molex bits to do as MM says. An old section of brake line works great as a tool to remove the male pins.
