I'm afraid I've been distracted from the V50 project, so I have not done as much as I'd hoped. The M-Unit blue really is something special. I haven't used the bluetooth at all yet, but just as a simple way of wiring the bike up, it's hard to beat. Definitely the way to go for anyone rewiring an old bike.

Put on these goggles, turn on the fan, and sit on your bike to go ride. Much safer than being exposed to traffic.  No Thanks

Looks like it reduces your on-the-road troubles to a single point of failure.  I suppose that's handy for troubleshooting, but not so much for the repair.
