Pyramid Plastics Extenda Fender #058720
« on: March 08, 2018, 11:01:34 AM »
Hi Guys, I received the fender extention for my V7iii stone.
It does not fit the fender on the 2017 V7iii stone.
Sending back to Moto Machines. I pay the cost of shipping, they credit my card.
It may fit earlier V7 Models.

I purchased one of their huggers for my Griso, very pleased with it.
I bought it on-line direct from Pyramid Plastics UK

Crap - mine's being delivered tomorrow. Which one did you order? Mine says "for V7 Cafe / Classic"

Also had on my Griso - worked great and looked good.

The "Classic" has a flatter profile than the Mk3. I corresponded with Pyramid and they suggested the Clubman Racer #058731 (SF if you want the stick-fit version). Looks like this version has the 'pointier' profile of our fender. Doing the exchange.

How are you guys attaching these? I took mine off after the tape gave out and it started rubbing on the tire. I had meticulously cleaned the fender before applying but it fell off on a hot day after about a week of use.

The one for my Norge came with some plastic rivets.  I gritted my teeth, drilled and attached with both adhesive and the rivets.  It fit well and works as expected....

Did your extenda come as a "stick on " install or using clips?

B-1100.
Attached with ABS cement, after claeaning, roughing up the mating surfaces, and masking.
55K miles, still solid as a rock.

Had one on my V Strom. Worked great as intended. I struggle to find the correct cement. Something about in Texas our plastic pipes are CVC? Texas does not permit ABS. So I over thought the whole situation. I can't remember if  I used some type of super glue  or  regular glue/primer for CVC pipes.  The Fender extenda is just one of those incredible products that should come from the factory. My Quota came with a Guzzi Fenda Extenda. The guzzi Quota setup has rivets and is actual rubber.
