New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
It's funny how riders are more interested in the type of bike and such rather than the condition of the rider. From the looks of the photo it didn't look too serious, but anytime you go down, especially us old guys, things break that didn't used to. Hope he and the bike are OK!
And at the same time, probably dozens seriously injured or killed in similar accidents but no one cares because it's not a celebrity...
I hear this a lot too, especially with shyte on FB, like we're supposed to be shamed for giving a crap about a celebrity and not about people we don't know. But it's basic human nature. We FEEL like we know celebrities - because we literally know their names, their faces, and usually some of their work (which when it's entertainment means we connect with something about them - just like people do about artists, authors, hell politicians for right or wrong, or how about Evel Knievel etc.).So really there's nothing wrong with giving a crap BECAUSE they are not at the same level of nameless strangers. Granted they're not much more... but it's something more and that's normal, not something to bitch about.Look, the world's a big place, and I'm sure a lot of people will die today that I don't or won't ever know and I'm not going to likely mourn the normal course of life for the nameless masses.

But at the same time things happen and the world's attention gets drawn to the fate of a few and you get emotionally invested. There's a piece of me that was VERY happy inside when I heard those 12 kids and their coach got out of the caves alive in Thailand today. Well done Thai Navy Seals (RIP the one they lost) and well done the professionals and volunteers from all over the world. I think it was some Brit divers who found them in the first place. Cheers mates! You guys all have balls the size of church bells! Sleep well tonight!
But if ti were you, Kev, I would be interested
was the Vespa ok?
I don't know, but I'll unselfishly volunteer to see to Amal's needs until he's back to 100 percent.
That's face it 20,000 posts has got to be close to 5,000 hours of sitting infront of a computer screen!!Just say'n
5,000 was a conservative estimate based on 15 min per post.
How's that conservative? I just clicked over here and posted this in about 30 seconds.
"I took typing class in high school (because my showing up made the class 15 girls and 1 boy)..."I took the same route because I didn't want to take auto shop class and who doesn't want to be the only boy in a class full of girls? I parked my ass in there for an entire year and it was one of my favorite classes!
Amal? Geez I thought she was a carburetor......... .
So he hit, or was hit, by a Mercedes Benz. Class, I tell, will always tell.
