New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
I feel your pain, as I had a similar experience last time I purchased a new car. I have never purchased a NEW bike, only gently used so I am wondering how much flexibility is there when buying a new MG? When looking at their ads, they all quote the list price and I am aware that every dealer has their own bottom line, just wondering is there an average % that one can expect to pay below the list price?
- "Well, I can't give you a price unless you select a particular bike and are serious about buying it today""How do I know if I'm serious about buying one, if I don't know the price?"- "I'm sorry sir, but I really can't give you a price unless you're seriously buying.
Is that the place on Manchester? When I went in the owner about talked my leg off. Nice dude. Had no intention of buying a bike.
Yep. Unfortunately , the owner was nowhere to be found The saleslady did tell me that they were offering substantial discounts to move the 2017 inventory, so it puzzled me a bit when I couldn't have the prices.
Yesterday I talked to a former Guzzi dealer who has a 2011 Stelvio demo that I'm interested in. Over the phone he wouldn't give me a price and the times I've been there in person he wouldn't tell me what he would sell one of his new leftovers for. He said I should tell him what it's worth. That's ok but I hadn't done any research and don't have a clue but I will when I go to look at it in person. I think that cuts out a spur of the moment sale, and there is no target to start at. I won't try to lowball over the phone but it would be helpful to know what range he has in mind. When I go to look at it I should have cash in hand, maybe that would get a good price for me.
"He said I should tell him what it's worth." No wonder he has 7 year old stock sitting on the floor.
Walked into my local Guzzi dealer. It's a one-salesman shop. It appears THAT salesman has "moved on"New saleslady. There was some question about how I could be helped - so I introduced myself and stated that I had purchased two bikes there this year. I added that I've been reading that Moto Guzzi is providing some great incentives on the 2017 models. So I ask "what are you getting on the 2017 Stones".- "Which one? Do you have a particular color in mind?""No, just in general"- "Well, I can't give you a price unless you select a particular bike and are serious about buying it today""How do I know if I'm serious about buying one, if I don't know the price?"- "I'm sorry sir, but I really can't give you a price unless you're seriously buying" I asked the Wife if she was ready to go. "yes". So, we politely left.
-bought a sim free mobile phone for my daughter and the young sales lady said "you don't want no insurance cover for your phone?" . With a straight face, I said "you know, that's a double negative" . She then replied "I'm dyslexic, you shouldn't make fun of dyslexic people, it's not funny". Before I could explain that I'm dyslexic myself and wasn't making fun of her, she snubbed me and moved on to the next customer
