New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
...Man, I wish they had the right hand side switches for a LeMans IV !...
Are they normally not available? Mine have been working fine the last two years and 16K - no issues at all.
Got to be the junkiest switches they ever used, I toss that stuff in the trash and replace w/CEV that was on LM5's or SP3's or Duc's . Black w/orange buttons. In the day I got Moto Morini's, had a headlight off switch.Last ones I got from Guzzi had the off switch too.
I might go for a set. Alas, looking at the inside picture I see that the wires are held in place by crimped rivets. The heads of those rivets are rounded and serve as the contacting surface for the internal, brass sliders. This was the base fault with the originals. Connections get old, dirty, corroded and start to build heat. As the rivets heat up, the heads recede into the surrounding plastic. Thus making even less contact and generating more heat. I cured mine by replacing the rivets with 2mm bolts and nuts. Also by adding headlamp relays. My mod has been good for years, but I'd still like to move up to newer (if not more modern) materials.Patrick HayesFremont CASPII
I still have a hard time getting used to the weird turn signal switch.
Customer didn't mind at all, he had the cash.
I still have a hard time getting used to the weird turn signal switch. I usually just use hand signals when I ride the Le Mans!Rick.
It's easy - just think of it like this: in a right turn the left side handle bar comes up. Left turn - it goes down. The switch is exactly the same - up for right, down for left.
I sure wish it would cancel by pressing the button in, like most bikes, returning the switch to center is tough sometimes when riding in crazy traffic! Rick.
They didnt last long
You can also order them in Germany:https://hmb-guzzi.de/Sale
How do the switches feel? Better, cheap-lier, or about the same as the OEM ones - just curious - it's great they are finally making reproductions!
