There are some interesting bikes on some of these lists.  I always wanted a BSA Victor 441 and saw several of those.  I always heard that they were awful motorcycles, but there's just something about them that always appealed to me.  I really liked the ones with the chrome tank with the black diagonal stripe.

But in keeping with the subject at hand, here's my list.  It really seems too short, but I can't remember any others.

Being a member of a biker club was my life, more important as my job and family (wich I kept both...).
I had a lot of very good friends in our motorscene, no Angels, but we weren't pussy's either.
I've bin married for just 6 years now. I met my wife in 2000, in the new century. Time for a different life.
I'm still hanging around in our motorscene, I'll be there till I die in 30 years or so...

You know, it's a real shame that we can't put all this stuff into a database and do some trending and statistics on the bikes that Guzzisti "started on".    Show a "normal" progression from small Yamahas to mid-size Hondas etc, or whatever.

I have recently aquired two 1977 KZ650s out of which I will make one shiny one and have one complete parts bike that's less shiny. Also, since I made my list I've sold the XT600 and bought a CB400SF for the kid to learn on.

I do find it interesting, reading through all posts, how similar our backgrounds are overall. Most have many different brands they've owned, have gone from old to newer to older to newer bikes again, often several times. Same with engine capacity. Not many who have constantly moved to larger, newer and costlier motorcycles. This diversity in bikes, the interest in older, "lesser" motorcycles and the lack of need to own the latest and hottest to be happy is striking among this community and something I find very good to see  ;-T

Only been riding since '06, and all that I've owned are listed in my sig.
Going through the lists above was very interesting.  Lots of VERY experienced riders, and while a few mentioned racing, I didn't really notice much if any listing of "track only" bikes.  A different world here than Ducati and Aprilia forums I'm used to.
And of course a different world from the ADV rider forum I followed while I had the DR650.  Dirt bikes seem less popular than cruisers, and superbikes not very popular at all.   Also interesting to see that Moto Morini (which I've never seen except in pictures) was about as well-represented in garages as Ducati, which practically infest the streets around me!  Speaking of which, the 900SS seems by far the most popular Ducati here.  Wonder how that happened....
