Absolutely frickin awsome.
It's just that I'm so excited about getting mine this week I need some sort of fix in the mean time.
Yeah, I know what I said about not needing size and power on another thread, but this bike is just so goddam beautiful.
I reckon it's in line for classic value status once the Lemans's have peaked out and are beyond the reach of most, which has nearly happened with the 1's and 2's in the UK.

I haven't seen your sport in person, so I don't believe you actually have one.  Only by showing up at my home will you convince me you actually have one. ;) :D  Preferably no later than Wednesday this week.  :D :D

Disregard gearbox comment unless yours has straight cut box and seized Cush drive. Cora's also have the later, stronger, porkchops. Airbox comment stands.

Its sort of in semi retirement I have an RSVR to play silly buggers on the old thing comes out if its a longer trip or if I'm feeling guilty for not riding it. Surprisingly despite 12years in motorcycle development between the two the sport is still pretty handy, although the RSVR with its shorter wheel base certainly gets around a corner easier/with less commitment at a given speed.

2 EZ.

As you can see, I've grafted on a Le Mans faring for an improved riding position - at least for me.

Anyone here done any mods to make the bike more comfortable on a longer two up trip ?
Hope I'm not committing sacrilege by asking.
I would be interested in hearing of discreet easily  reversable mods, such as different saddle, bar risers, etc>

I love the lines on these bikes.

This was shot this weekend,  A little tough keeping up with the nimble monsters on the supertight twisties.  But can blow them away on fast sweepers.  I realized this weekend I need to put some better mirrors on the bike the bar ends were useless with all the luggage.  If I remember correctly a good replacement was from a honda cbr 600.  Any particular year?

As per handle bars,  if you can find a set helibars that would leo the ergos quite a bit.  Otherwise you can reverse the stock bars to raise it a bit.

You'll have to practice getting off the bike first in order to put you side stand in place too.

I know you're not going to believe this, but my Sport 1100 is Marcia's favorite bike.

The seating, bars, pegs are stock.  Well, save for the addition of ProGrip 699 gel grips.

I tried the HeliBars on it when new, but went back to stock shortly thereafter.  I also tried flipping the stock bars, but that wouldn't do either.

The three best things I did for mine was add full Staintune exhaust, Keihin FCR41 carbs, and Brembo Radial Master cylinder with full-floating cast iron rotors out front.

You won't need the FCRs, since you've got the efi.  And, your bike appears to have the FF cast iron rotors already.  It also appears to have a full Termi exhaust.  If it's running good, then you're golden.  Otherwise, you may need a chip from Will Creeden.

You can adapt to the bike.  It's actually quite comfortable after you get used to it.  Marcia and I did 300+ miles for breakfast last week on mine.  No worries.  No complaints...

Creedon chip and Mistral alloy cans installed.

Compared to my other bikes this is my most comfortable. Previous owner put Heli-bars on.

You ain't kiddin'. The first few times were certainly weird for me lol. Now it's like second nature.

I thought about doin' the sidestand mod to get rid of the "automatic" feature, but I figured I'd leave it since it's just another quirky feature on a quirky bike.

Its currently getting new HID headlights which aren't ovals. I wanted to stack them vertically like a 999, but there isnt room.  When it goes into the paint shop over the winter I'm having the SWE decals removed (they have been clear coated over) and I'm going to put some small Moto Guzzi black logos on the tank.

Interesting to note of the 5 carbed 1100 sports posted four are fitted with FCR flat slides, that would be a hint me thinks.

I did get my DellOrtos dialed in, mid-40s MPG and clean running everywhere. I don't know if the horsepower is better or worse than the FCRs would provide, but it really doesn't matter.

Thanks for the great pics.
I'm really excited now.
I pick up mine Thursday.
I had a long chat with the dealer today.
My bike comes with the full Termignoni race system with a special chip which was factory spec at the time.
It's also coming with another full stainless system and a seperate chip called an Epron.
 ???
I've had bikes a long time but this is all a foreign langauge to me.
Could anyone shed some light on this.
