After being told that they weren't good enough to play for England, the Wallabies beat the Lions in every department of the game. Indeed, it seemed that they could do almost nothing wrong

I missed the game, but I sort of expected that.

I have it recorded,  have yet to find the time to watch it.  Swap Meet coming up this week so it is going to be difficult to squeeze it in.

The French are the ones I worry about, they play a different style, sometimes the All Blacks have trouble adapting to it.

I'm surprised you didn't take the opportunity to say something like:  "Yes, their traditional style of running backward waving a white flag could be very disconcerting to a team used to conventional tactics ...."

I'D never say anything like that of course, because I like the French ....  :thumb:

The USA team plays South Africa next. It's a big ask, the South Afs are scary good.

And so it proved. SA 64  USA 0. But it's South Africa for heavens sake, so no shame in that.

Kriel skips past Kruger to score their ninth try

Actually I think the SAs may well win the competition this time. The way our lot is playing they will be lucky to survive the semis.

Japan/SA game was a joy to watch. Sad to hear Jean DeVilliers has since retired with a broken jaw. Eng/Wal (should've taken the 3pts) and Eng/Aus (Engs implosion) were both huge games. Cant wait for this weekend Aus/Wal and Ire/Fra. No easy games from now on.

Didn't know about that site. Great!

I'm going to watch NZ v Tonga. It could be a bruising game. I think France V Ireland will be worth watching too.

Fairly happy with the way the Wallabies are going.  :thumb: Pocock is a monster over the ball. Gits was sorely missed. Front row really have moved on from 12 months ago.

For my American freinds - the game may appear complicated with its many laws (NOT rules!), but it doesn't take too long to get the hang of it.

Bernard Foley is on fire also. They are the team that I think will go all the way this year.

So the Irish, bless em, managed to beat the French.

The Irish team now ranks 3rd in the world as a result. The are pretty good. In the 2013 cup they came within a hair of beating us. It was a very exciting game. Here is the last couple of minutes of it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV5zndjlv7w

That means the the All Blacks get to play the French in the semi final at Cardiff.

Oh dear oh dear! That's exactly what happened in 2007 and we lost!!! The shame of it! There were mutterings to the effect that that AB team should not be allowed back into the country!

The specter of that game will abound in the All Black camp this week, and much will be the work, the sweat and the gritting of teeth!

There were some "gritted teeth" in Queensland, when the Welsh hurled themselves at our line, time and time again, last Sunday morning

France are not great in fairness but they are the bogey team for New Zealand. Ireland lose 3 players through injury and I'm sure O'Brien will get cited for giving Pape a thump so theres 4 first choice players gone for the Argentina game.

Getting into Rugby as it is hosted by England. Love the respect these huge dudes show to the normally  little referee.

This NEVER happens in Football (Soccer) here in England or Europe even, with players swearing at the ref for every decision made.

Also, as it is normally tradition with us and sports in general, we are out of the competition. Bad display against the Welsh and the Aussies showed us who's boss. Shame they couldn't do the same in Cricket for the Ashes. Isn't it Aussies. ;)

So; an Englishman walks into a pub.
Normally there'd be an Irishman and a Scot; but they are still at the World Cup of Rugby.
