For some of our newer members who might not know the origins of these guys calling me "The Sultan of Cedar Vale" , you can blame that on The Texas Turnip Farmer . He mailed a letter addressed to "The Sultan of Cedar Vale" to my old PO Box , and it found the right destination . It just kind of stuck , it is always amusing when someone refers to "The Sultan" on WG , and most everyone knows who that is

At my age, Dusty, my Cedar Vale plans are the firmest thing about me. Two years ago, I was on my way home to Denver from picking up my V7 on the Jersey shore. I intended to ride home via rustic Cedar Vale, KS, but it was c-c-c-cold and p-ssing down rain all the way across MO and KS. All I could think about was getting to Denver and off my bike. Last year I paid the money and got ready to go. I was about to put the key in the ignition when you canceled. This year I've ordered my t-shirt and set aside money for the raffle. I look for your newsy posts on this forum every day. Reckon I'll be there, Dusty, barring genuinely unforeseen circumstances.

Barring any unforeseen issues, I will be attending this year! It will be my first Guzzi Rally and my first time in Cedar Vale. I will get a check in the mail asap. Is there anything newbies need to know before hitting the road?

Welcome Levi! Coming from Springfield, I'll be circumventing the Downstream Casino roundabout en route to the thriving metropolis of Cedar Vale probably Friday evening. Good to have another local Guzzi enthusiast!

Received a phone call this morning with a questionable phone number but answered regardless of the spiel to be delivered. Yep, what a sales pitch by some Okie claiming he had real estate up along the Kansas Oklahoma border. Say for a few bucks, he'd give me the grand tour of the place including their majestic pavilion. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Guess I'll head up there and see what all the ruckus is about.
